This report describes the AQUACROSS data management plan, which aims to streamline existing data as well as data produced by the project into a single point of access for project partners, scientists and the public. Information systems and data on different types of aquatic ecosystems, biodiversity and ecosystem based management tend to exist in isolation of one another. Access to information and data is fragmented across different systems with different standards and thematic structuring. One of the goals of AQUACROSS is to streamline existing data as well as data produced by the project and make it accessible through a single point of access that is available for use by project partners, but also scientists and the public at large. This report is a prerequisite to the development of the Information Platform which will be a fully operational information system that contains an integrated data catalogue (metadata) and direct access to the datasets and information compiled by the project. The AQUACROSS Data Management Plan outlines the type of data to be collected, the standards that will be applied, and describes the management systems that will be used to make it accessible and useful.
