Daniela Nicoleta Holostenco is a scientific researcher at INCDDD – Tulcea (Romania) within the Sturgeon Research Group, since 2008. She holds her MSc in Sustainable Coastal Development. Currently, Daniela is a PhD student at the University of Bucharest, focusing on genetic aspects of critically endangered sturgeon populations in the context of the ongoing supportive stocking in the Lower Danube River. She is and has been actively involved in national and international projects investigating the ecology of the critically endangered sturgeon populations inhabiting the NW Black Sea basin and spawning in the Lower Danube River.
